Security, observability, developer tools. I do UX research in the messy, technical corners of B2B SaaS: working out what people need a product to do, then turning that into strategy leadership can act on. Right now that's at IBM, where I lead research strategy for Secure UX.
I also build AI tooling that lets a whole team run its own studies. That story is case 01.

I know when findings are worth listening to.
The PhD trained me to take a study apart. I can look at any research design and say what it will support and what it won't, so a thin finding doesn't get far with me. And when the constraints are tight, I don't get to run the study I want, so I design the strongest one the constraints allow.
Where I've done it
The curiosity doesn't clock out.
Long before research was my job, I was the kid who would not stop asking why people are the way they are. Incessantly. That never went away, it just found new places to go.
So when I step away from work I'm usually chasing the same thing: a better feel for people, and for how much of us is shaped by wherever we happen to be. Here's some of what keeps me curious.
The Mind
I read behavioral psychology and personality research for fun. It's the same question that got me into this work: how does a person end up being this particular person and not some other one, and what quietly changed them along the way. I have never once gotten bored of it.
The World
I travel every chance I get. The postcard version has never interested me. What I want is the small disorienting moment that rearranges how I see something. A wedding in Punjab. A wrong turn that becomes the best day of the trip. I come home from every one of them less sure I had it figured out.
The Space
Home is my favorite experiment. I move the light around, change the color, swap the texture, and watch what it does to the mood of a room. Same instinct as the work, honestly: build the environment around how people feel standing in it.
The Gym
Weightlifting is how I stay grounded. There's something honest about it. You show up, you do the work, and the bar does not care about your title or how your day went. It's the only thing on my calendar with an unambiguous answer.
